Young Archeologists Tour of Egypt!

Students took a mini tour of Egypt in our class today. Students were put into groups of six and spent 19 minutes at each of the five "Egyptian Centers".
Center 1: Building a pyramid using large blocks and Legos
Center 2: Researching Egyptian Gods and giving them a report card on their characteristics
Center 3: Creating an acrostic poem about EGYPT using words, pictures and color (figurative language and sensory detail as well)
Center 4: Writing their names in hieroglyphics
Center 5: Creating an Egyptian symbol using play doh


Building a pyramid
 Using play doh to create a symbol of something Ancient Egypt then taking a picutre of it and uploading it into their Ancient Civilizations powerpoint

Writing an Acrostic Poem about Ancient Egypt using figurative language and sensory detail

 Researching Egyptian Gods and making judgements
 Looking up how to write our names in hieroglyphics, then writing it on paper
 A proud group

 All work uploaded into the Ancient Civilizations Powerpoint on Ancient Egypt
